Key principles of my facilitation

Dance and movement practice have always been a vital part of my life. It's not only a means for me to express my creativity, but also a way of connecting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, sharing experiences, and learning from others.
My facilitation style is influenced and shaped by my studies in somatic movement education, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, and a decade of international experience as a dance artist. These are key principles I offer:
Relational: I'm committed to being responsive, observant, and listening with and through my body in response to the 'mind' of the room and the energy of the group.
I teach from a sense of deep listening and curiosity about my own body in the present moment. I encourage participants to remain open and allow themselves to be surprised by their own body movements.
In my classes, I integrate movement, touch, and voice to explore the body-mind relationship.
I'm amazed at how attentively listening to our body's sensations can result in a new way of feeling the external world, and how moving our body from a state of embodiment can bring out so much well-being and fun.
I'm grateful for the valuable knowledge I've learned from my teachers and friends from different parts of the world and am delighted to now share it with the community in Melbourne/Naarm.
Some of the teachers and tutors who have strongly influenced my practice in recent years included:
Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen (Body Mind Centering)
Olive Bieringa (Bodycartography Project)
Simon Gosling (Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy tutor)
