  • Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, holistic approach that works with your body's natural healing abilities. Through sensory, intentional touch, BCST helps restore balance to your nervous system, releasing deeply held physical tensions and emotional patterns that may underlie discomfort or illness.

BCST acknowledges the profound interconnection between your emotional, mental, spiritual and physical health, creating space for deep healing to emerge naturally from within.

Craniosacral Therapy has its roots in the discoveries made by Osteopath Dr William Garner Sutherland in the late 1800s. He developed an approach to Osteopathy known as “the Cranial Concept”. These original concepts have been refined and extended to become the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy of today.

  • After a 5-10-minute discussion about your health, I'll usually guide you through a body-based awareness exercise, helping you relax and prepare for the session. Following this, you'll be invited to lie fully clothed on the treatment table, provided with a blanket and bolster for your comfort.

Upon your consent, I'll gently make contact with your body using my hands, guiding you to explore arising feelings and sensations. Throughout this process, I typically contact various body parts such as the feet, cranium (head), sacrum (tailbone), torso, and other relevant areas as necessary.

It’s recommended that you wear clothing you feel comfortable in.

  • Generally after a BCST session, you will feel relaxed and peaceful. Occasionally, some clients may experience fatigue or mild soreness. This is a normal sign that the treatment process is continuing and that the injury pattern or dysfunction is starting to heal. Healing time is subject to many factors, but generally the more chronic the issue, the longer it will take.

You should expect to see some signs of improvement within four to five treatments. To support this, I recommend drinking plenty of water, taking time to rest if needed, and simply listening to what your body is asking for.

  • Each person’s experience with BCST is unique, and the number of sessions depends on individual needs. Some people notice shifts after just one session, while others benefit from a series of sessions to support deeper, long-term changes.

During our initial session, we can discuss your goals and determine a plan that best suits you. Whether you choose occasional sessions for relaxation or regular sessions for ongoing support, the approach is always tailored to your needs.
