About Chung
Touch and movement are fundamental aspects of our human experience, allowing us to cultivate a sense of community that fosters safety, freedom, creativity, and bonding among individuals.
I’m Chung Nguyen (he/them). I'm a Vietnamese dance artist, somatic movement facilitator, registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist and qualified Allied Health Assistant with an interest in somatic and contemplative approaches to healing and arts. As a professional member of the Pacific Association of Craniosacral Therapists (PACT), I bring both formal training and artistic sensitivity to my work.
Born and raised in Vietnam, I later lived and worked in Singapore, Switzerland and Vietnam as a professional dancer before moving to Australia in 2022 to join my partner. These diverse cultural experiences have equipped me with a culturally responsive approach that enriches my practice.
Lineage
Teachers and tutors who have been particularly influential in my development, directly and indirectly, including Franklyn Sills, Simon Gosling, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and Olive Bieringa.
I’m also grateful to my partner Dan, who first introduced me to somatic approaches to movement and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, which have strongly informed my practice.
